PEPTIDE CALCULATOR

Calculate concentration, solution volume, U-100 scale units, and approximate reference portions after reconstitution.

What is the total volume of your syringe?

Uses a U-100 insulin-style scale where 100 units equals 1.0 mL.

Select peptide vial quantity
How much bacteriostatic water are you adding?
Target quantity for each reference portion
Calculated U-100 scale reference

For 50 mcg, draw to 1 unit.

About the Calculator

DATA-BASED CALCULATIONS FOR LABORATORY USE

This calculator is designed to help researchers determine peptide concentration after reconstitution. Using the standard formula (mg ÷ mL), it provides a practical reference for calculating solution strength and required volume for research protocols.

Frequently Asked Questions

PEPTIDE CALCULATOR FAQS

How is concentration calculated?

Concentration is calculated by dividing the total peptide amount in milligrams by the total reconstitution volume in millilitres. The calculator also converts milligrams to micrograms where needed.

What does “units” mean in the calculator?

The unit result uses a U-100 insulin-style scale, where 100 units equals 1.0 mL. A 0.3 mL syringe has a maximum of 30 units and a 0.5 mL syringe has a maximum of 50 units.

Can I enter a custom vial amount, water volume, or target quantity?

Yes. Choose Other in any calculator row and enter a positive numerical value. The result, concentration, volume, units, and approximate number of reference portions update immediately.

Why does the calculator show a syringe-capacity warning?

The warning appears when the calculated volume is greater than the selected syringe capacity. It is a mathematical limit notice only and does not provide handling or administration advice.

Are the reference tables a substitute for laboratory protocols?

No. The tables and calculator are general mathematical references for qualified researchers. Follow the documentation, procedures, approvals, and safety requirements that apply to your laboratory.
